Shredding

Akura can supply various configurations for both hoggers and shredders.

Hoggers process material such as thick paper, cardboard and light cores by literally ripping the material into shards approximatedly 150mm x 150 mm.

Shredders process material more precisely than hoggers. A shredder can be chosen to produce a specific shred (or cutting) of the material by selecting the number of knife hooks per revolution and width of the knife. As shredders actually cut the material, they can process a larger variety of materials and be set for very specific sizes and throughputs.

Shredders can process material from paper to steel.
