ROARING FORTIES

ROARING FORTIES

Welcome to our new website. We have successfully evolved our company over the past 40 years and will keep evolving!

Considering that the average company lifespan is around 13 years, we can comfortably claim our above average status! Founded in 1970, Akura  is a family owned, medium sized manufacturing engineering concern situated in the beautiful Paarl Valley, 60 km from Cape Town, South Africa. It was established to build specialised machinery and provide turnkey solutions to its clients. Akura operates sales and service branches in Benoni, near Johannesburg and Pinetown, near Durban.

Akura has at its nucleus an engineering design team, which is equipped with the latest in CAD technologies. This allows wide scope for innovative engineering projects. The close integration of the design team with the manufacturing works ensures high quality and short lead times.

Because of the compact nature of the company, combined with worldclass agencies, Akura has the ability to customise individual projects to meet our client's exact requirements. The management team has always been conscious of the need for high quality in design as well as manufacture.

Service and loyalty is a corner stone of the Akura's operating practice. Akura aims to continuously improve its solutions and services to the benefit of its clients. The company believes that in order for it to be successful, its clients must be supplied with solutions and services that enable them to flourish.

Celebrate with us! Plant 40 trees. Reduce. Recycle. Reuse. Leave only 40 footprints!
